{"id":14789,"date":"2024-11-12T19:50:14","date_gmt":"2024-11-12T19:50:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globaltaxjustice.org\/?post_type=event&#038;p=14789"},"modified":"2024-11-12T19:51:56","modified_gmt":"2024-11-12T19:51:56","slug":"apnifft-regional-meeting","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/globaltaxjustice.org\/es\/eventos\/apnifft-regional-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"African Parliamentary Network on Illicit Financial Flows and Taxation (APNIFFT) Regional Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Legislators from West and Central Africa will gather in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, for the African Parliamentary Network on Illicit Financial Flows and Taxation (APNIFFT) Regional Meeting from 15 to 16 November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting, organised by APNIFFT and TJNA, in collaboration with Addis Tax Initiative (ATI), Conference Episcopale Nationale du Congo (CENCO), and the Stop the Bleeding Campaign,&nbsp;<span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">will seek to examine the role of parliamentarians in effectively addressing IFFs, debt and advancing fair taxation policies in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting theme is \u00abStrengthening Parliamentarians&#8217; Capacity to Combat Illicit Financial Flows and Promote Better Economic Governance in Africa.
