Monday, 2 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Campaign Launch: Tax Justice for the Human Right to Care<\/strong> The 10th Global Days of Action on Tax Justice for Women\u2019s Rights will kick-off with an online event gathering feminists and tax justice advocates from across the world. Speakers will bring perspectives about the impact of fiscal policies on women in their continents, and share the link between tax justice and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tuesday, 3 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Connecting the Dots: The IMF, Tax, and Gender Equality<\/strong> This session will explore how the IMF shapes national tax policies in the Global South, with particular attention to the gap between its stated commitments and country-level realities. Through interactive learning and collective reflection, we will look at how IMF policy advice influences national tax systems, public spending priorities, care systems, and gender equality outcomes. In a shifting political economy that continues to reshape our strategies of influencing, the session will create space to surface and amplify alternative forms of resistance, from policy advocacy to art and storytelling, as tools for challenging IMF influence on tax and gender equality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Wednesday, 4 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Release of the 3rd Framing Feminist Taxation Guide The highly anticipated launch of the 3rd Framing Feminist Taxation Guide with case studies from Argentina, Ecuador, Paraguay, the Philippines, and Senegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Justicia Fiscal para el Derecho Humano al Cuidado: Perspectivas Feministas desde Am\u00e9rica Latina ante la Convenci\u00f3n Fiscal de la ONU This event will explore the intersection between the care crisis, international financial architecture, and fiscal restraints in Latin America in the context of the UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation negotiations. From a feminist perspective, we will discuss how the current unequal allocation of taxing rights, corporate tax evasion and abuse, the burden of debt, and regressive tax systems limit the capacity of States to finance universal and quality public services. Instead, they shift the costs of social reproduction onto the unpaid labor of women. We aim to provide a regional perspective on the \u201cTax Justice for the Human Right to Care\u201d campaign and formulate concrete demands for global processes (such as the UN Tax Convention, FFD, etc.) that can guarantee: A fair allocation of taxing rights based on real economic activity; Effective taxation of multinationals and high net worth individuals; Financial transparency (including Public country-by-country reporting); International cooperation that opens wider fiscal space for Global South countries; and Sustainable financing for quality public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thursday, 5 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Empowering Women with Disabilities: Tax Justice for Inclusive Rights 2026 The primary objective of \u201cEmpowering Women with Disabilities: Tax Justice for Inclusive Rights 2026\u201d is to promote equitable tax policies that recognize and address the unique challenges faced by women with disabilities. The activity seeks to raise awareness about the importance of tax justice in advancing disability rights and gender equality, advocating for inclusive economic participation, and ensuring that women with disabilities have access to resources and opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Expected changes include increased advocacy for inclusive tax policies, greater participation of women with disabilities in decision-making processes related to tax and economic rights, and strengthened alliances among disability organizations, women\u2019s rights groups, and policy makers. Ultimately, this activity aims to contribute towards a society where women with disabilities enjoy equal rights, economic empowerment, and social inclusion through fair and inclusive tax systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Progressive taxation for the human right to care Under developed care systems and continued reliance on regression consumption taxes disproportionately affect marginalized groups like women in many developing countries. Indeed, many MNCs pay very low or no tax in source countries that grappling low revenue mobilization.This necessitates adoption of a progressive tax and expenditure regime provides Government with sustainable and equitable revenue base for investment in care infrastructure to reduce inequality. This session will explore how progressive tax regimes can translate into attainment of the right to care in developing countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tax, Gender Equality and the Cost of Education This session will create an open, participatory space for collective reflection on how tax systems reproduce explicit and implicit gender biases that shape education financing and the rights of women and girls. Through shared stories, feminist analysis, and dialogue, we will explore how global tax rules influence public investment in equitable and quality education. By connecting local experiences to international processes such as the UN Tax Convention, the session will strengthen understanding of the links between tax justice, state responsibility, and gender equality, while fostering collective awareness, solidarity, and strategies for transformative change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Friday, 6 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Tax Justice for Women\u2019s Right to Care: Community Dialogue and Advocacy Forum in Malawi This activity will be an in-person community dialogue and advocacy forum in Malawi focused on \u201cTax Justice for the Human Right to Care.\u201d It will bring together women leaders, youth, community members, and local policymakers to raise awareness on how fair and gender-responsive tax systems can fund essential care services such as healthcare, education, and social protection. The objective is to empower participants with knowledge, amplify grassroots voices, and encourage policy dialogue on equitable taxation. The expected change is increased understanding of tax justice as a feminist issue, stronger local advocacy for fair tax policies, and greater engagement of women and youth in national discussions on public spending and care services. Take part in the close of the 10th Global Days of Action on Tax Justice for Women\u2019s Rights on \u201cTax Justice for the Human Right to Care.\u201d Panelists will discuss how to deliver a feminist fiscal system with a look at the negotiations for the UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sunday, 8 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n International Women\u2019s Day<\/strong> Photo Action<\/strong> Wednesday, 11 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Public Discourse on \u201cTax Justice and Women\u2019s Political Participation in Provincial Elections: Financing Gender Equality and the Right to Care in Nepal\u201d This activity aims to raise awareness and promote women\u2019s meaningful participation and leadership in Nepal\u2019s provincial elections, while linking it with the need for gender-responsive taxation and public investment in care and social services. Women remain underrepresented in direct elections and decision-making roles despite constitutional commitments.The activity seeks to mobilise civil society and influence policymakers to ensure greater inclusion of women in political processes and advocate for fair tax systems that support women\u2019s rights, care, and gender equality, contributing to the broader goals of the Global Days of Action campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
