Developing countries lose hundreds of billions to corporate tax dodging every single year, robbing the world\u2019s poorest women of their health, safety from violence, access to education and employment and equality, while weighing them down with unpaid care work. When tax avoidance and tax breaks starve public services of funding, it\u2019s women and girls who pay the highest price.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three\u00a0<\/span><b>African tax justice activists<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0will launch the exhibition,\u00a0<\/span><b>sharing their stories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These inspiring women, from Zambia, Kenya and Nigeria are leading the fight for tax justice in some of the world\u2019s poorest communities. You can read their bios here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Launch date:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a06.30pm on Thursday the 2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nd<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0of March<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cost:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Free<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Featuring stunning images and personal stories from Zambia, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Liberia, the photo exhibition will be on display in Filmbase from the 2nd \u2013 9th of March.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exhibition will mark\u00a0<\/span><b>International Women\u2019s Day<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0on March 8<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and is part of the Global Alliance for Tax Justice\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.globaltaxjustice.org\/en\/action\/global-days-action-taxjustice-women%E2%80%99s-rights\"><b>#TaxJustice for Women\u2019s Rights Global Days of Action<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which will see women\u2019s rights and tax justice activists, as well as trade unions, unite across the globe, with activities taking place across Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This powerful photo exhibition will explore the real impact tax injustice has on women.
