{"id":6632,"date":"2022-08-11T18:21:26","date_gmt":"2022-08-11T18:21:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globaltaxjustice.org\/?post_type=event&#038;p=6632"},"modified":"2022-08-11T18:21:26","modified_gmt":"2022-08-11T18:21:26","slug":"conference-call-study-on-environmental-tax","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/globaltaxjustice.org\/es\/eventos\/conference-call-study-on-environmental-tax\/","title":{"rendered":"Conference call: study on environmental tax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Global Alliance for Tax Justice&#8217;s working group on Tax &amp; restructuring of the economy is inviting you, together with Austria&#8217;s VIDC, to this\u00a0<\/span><b>conference call on a study on environmental taxation.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The call will be held online (through a free-toll service you can access via skype, internet or your phone), at 15.00 CEST time (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeanddate.com\/worldclock\/converter-classic.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0you can convert to your local time).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The VIDC is sponsoring\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a study on environmental taxation<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">consisting of a scoping study and a country study<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(on Vietnam). The scoping study shall provide an overview of environmental taxation and its economic, social and environmental impact in the context of developing countries. Consideration should also be given to the potential role of environmental taxes in a more sustainable, environmental-friendly and progressive tax system.
