On Wednesday, October 10, the\u00a0<\/span>Bretton Woods Project\u00a0is hosting a panel event at the Annual Meetings<\/b>\u00a0of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group, in Bali, Indonesia:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab<\/span>CSO perspectives on Operationalising Gender and Income Inequality at the IMF<\/b>\u00ab<\/span>.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During this\u00a0panel,\u00a0<\/span>Rachel Noble from ActionAid<\/b>\u00a0will\u00a0present\u00a0a\u00a0new briefing on tax and gender\u00a0titled \u00ab<\/span>Short-changed: How the IMFs tax policies are failing women<\/b>\u00ab.<\/span><\/p>\n

The IMF recently published staff guidance notes on operationalising gender and economic inequality issues into its work. This session will delve into\u00a0the\u00a0lessons\u00a0learned from feminist economist and economic justice communities to guide the IMF\u2019s approach and join the discussion on the role it plays in inequalities.<\/span><\/p>\n
