Akina Mama wa Afrika\u00a0<\/b>(AMwA),\u00a0in partnership with\u00a0<\/span>Friedrich Ebert Stiftung<\/b>\u00a0(FES), is organising a virtual\u00a0event to discuss\u00a0<\/span>Framing Feminist Taxation<\/span><\/i>, published by the Global Alliance for Tax Justice (GATJ), Womankind Worldwide and AMwA in June 2021.\u00a0The event\u00a0seeks to build consciousness, shape public debate and advance thought leadership towards ensuring that how money is collected and spent is more equitable, just and inclusive.<\/span><\/p>\n

The webinar also integrates the activities in commemoration\u00a0of the\u00a0<\/span>Global Days of Action for Tax Justice in the Extractive Industry<\/span>, which will take place on 25-26 November 2021 and will be an opportunity for civil society organisations, academics and activists to jointly call on our governments and authorities to make the extractive sector pay their share of taxes and contribute to the realisation of human rights.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
