Para el dia mundial del agua, y dentro de la campa\u00f1a #JusticiaFiscal para los derechos de las mujeres, la Internacional de Servicios P\u00fablicos publica este blog, conectando los derechos de las mujeres, el derecho al agua y la justicia fiscal: \u00abLos derechos de las mujeres requieren justicia fiscal y acceso universal a unos servicios de agua y saneamiento p\u00fablicos de calidad!\u00bb dice la federaci\u00f3n sindical mundial.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abLas mujeres tienen una relaci\u00f3n crucial con el agua, debido a la divisi\u00f3n sexual del trabajo, que ha perpetuado \u201cde manera natural\u201d la atribuci\u00f3n social de determinados roles y funciones a los hombres y a las mujeres; o debido a los patrones culturales caracter\u00edsticos de distintas comunidades; o a las opiniones sobre el cuerpo humano y factores biol\u00f3gicos. Las mujeres y las ni\u00f1as son las que manejan el agua, que constituye la base de sus responsabilidades asistenciales. El agua es clave para la igualdad, la dignidad, la autonom\u00eda socioecon\u00f3mica y la emancipaci\u00f3n. La ISP representa a la mayor parte del personal del sector del agua y el saneamiento del mundo. Se trata de trabajadores y trabajadoras dedicados al servicio p\u00fablico, en empresas mayoritariamente de propiedad y gesti\u00f3n municipal, con empleos poco glamurosos, no necesariamente bien pagados y con poca presencia femenina entre la mano de obra y los cargos de responsabilidad. Lamentablemente, en muchos pa\u00edses, estos trabajadores y trabajadoras carecen de las herramientas para desempe\u00f1ar su labor adecuadamente, por razones eminentemente pol\u00edticas: la falta de fondos p\u00fablicos para las infraestructuras, operatividad y mantenimiento de los servicios de agua y saneamiento.\u00bb…<\/span><\/p>\n
