The Global Alliance for Tax Justice’s regional network member Tax and Fiscal Justice Asia (TAFJA) just issued a joint statement with the Asian Peoples’ Movement on Debt and Development, ahead of the #ParadisePapers one year anniversary, titled “Corporations & Wealthy Elites: Running Out of Places to Hide”:

“A year after the Paradise Papers, the situation has not substentively changed. Asia remains a region of starck contrasts, with fast-deepening inequality and rising wealth concentration, TAFJA says”. “The Paradise Papers affirmed what we have known all along (…), they added yet another layer of proof exposing the global robbery of public money for private gain”, TAFJA continues, also recaping how Asian corporations were exposed in the Paradise Papers.
