Akina Mama wa Afrika (AMwA), in partnership with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), is organising a virtual event to discuss Framing Feminist Taxation, published by the Global Alliance for Tax Justice (GATJ), Womankind Worldwide and AMwA in June 2021. The event seeks to build consciousness, shape public debate and advance thought leadership towards ensuring that how money is collected and spent is more equitable, just and inclusive.

The webinar also integrates the activities in commemoration of the Global Days of Action for Tax Justice in the Extractive Industry, which will take place on 25-26 November 2021 and will be an opportunity for civil society organisations, academics and activists to jointly call on our governments and authorities to make the extractive sector pay their share of taxes and contribute to the realisation of human rights.
