The Global Alliance for Tax Justice’s working group on Tax & restructuring of the economy is inviting you, together with Austria’s VIDC, to this conference call on a study on environmental taxation.

The call will be held online (through a free-toll service you can access via skype, internet or your phone), at 15.00 CEST time (here you can convert to your local time).

The VIDC is sponsoring a study on environmental taxation – consisting of a scoping study and a country study (on Vietnam). The scoping study shall provide an overview of environmental taxation and its economic, social and environmental impact in the context of developing countries. Consideration should also be given to the potential role of environmental taxes in a more sustainable, environmental-friendly and progressive tax system. The country study will show experiences and trade-offs in implementing environmental taxes.

The study authors, Tatiana Falcao and Jacqueline Cottrell, will also participate!
