The Fight Inequality Alliance (FIA – of which the Global Alliance for Tax Justice is a member with Oxfam, Greenpeace, ActionAid, CIVICUS, etc.), is mobilising alongside its allies and friends towards the annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank in October – the second of FIA’s global mobilisation moments this year.
The #FightInequality Mobilisation Week’s theme is “The World Bank and the IMF must stop fuelling inequality” and will happen October 9th to 15th, worldwide.
Plans are already taking shape in many countries and, for those engaging in Washington DC, at the meetings themselves. It should be an exciting and diverse week that enables us to come together to challenge the narrative on inequality at the meetings and continue to build our collective power to achieve the real solutions that are needed.
A Global Thunderclap is also being organized for October 13th. Just click below to join the twitter storm:
The FIA has put up this page in order to provide advocacy, communications and mobilisation materials, to guide national, regional and global mobilisation actions that showcase the solutions from people on the frontlines of inequality.
Please get involved with your networks and movements in whatever ways you can, and consider joining these actions, either as part of your national alliance or through your organisation:
