GATJ Opens Registrations for the Tax Justice and Gender Equality Conference 2021

The Global Alliance for Tax Justice (GATJ) opened registrations for the Tax Justice and Gender Equality Conference 2021, which will take place virtually (via Zoom) from 6 to 8 December 2021, under the theme “Feminist Perspectives and Imagining a New Taxation System”.

This is a joint initiative of the members of GATJ’s Tax and Gender Working Group, aiming to create a space to share, discuss and develop alternative perspectives to establish a sustainable feminist taxation and economic system for the realisation of substantive gender equality and women’s rights.

“Since its creation in 2016, the Tax and Gender Working Group has been a safe space for civil society organisations, academics and activists to engage in policy analysis, mobilisations and campaigning, aiming to strengthen the global integration of tax justice and other social and economic justice movements. The conference will be an opportunity for us to connect, engage, learn and build alliances to advance both tax justice and gender justice agendas”, said Caroline Othim, Global Policy and Advocacy Coordinator at GATJ.

Throughout the three days of the online conference, there will be around 20 events (panel discussions, workshops etc.), which are free of charge and open to anyone. Check out the programme and register separately for all sessions you plan to attend at: taxandgender.globaltaxjustice.org. You will automatically receive the links to connect to the sessions you registered for.
